Golf fans are starting to turn on Jason Kelce after the NFL legend was handed another high-profile TV role by ESPN.
It was announced Tuesday that the Philadelphia Eagles icon and Super Bowl winner will be working for the network at The Masters next week.
ESPN were said to be happy with Kelce’s contributions to their coverage of the TGL finals last month. As a result, Kelce will be taking to the iconic grounds of Augusta National.
Travis Kelce’s older brother will serve as an on-course reporter during the Par-3 contest, the traditional event held on Wednesday before The Masters begins.
The Par-3 contest is usually a light-hearted affair and sees golfers bring their loved ones onto the designated smaller course at Augusta National for a day of family fun.
Kelce will be in front of the camera interviewing the stars and their families as they navigate the course. However, a number of golf fans have expressed concern at just how much airtime Kelce is getting on ESPN.

One posted: ‘Love Jason more than anything but there’s so many better golf guys out there for these opportunities.’
Another added: ‘Oh good, was worried we wouldn’t get enough forced Kelce content this year’.
A third replied: ‘We got Kelce fatigue.’
‘He’s overexposed, can he please stick to football. It’s nauseating,’ another added.
Another wrote: ‘Please for the love of god no. ESPN is just going to shove the Kelces down everyone’s throats like (Pat) McAfee.’
One fan called the decision ‘ridiculous’, while another said it’ll make the Par-3 contest ‘unwatchable’.

ESPN signed Kelce to a huge TV deal in the months after he announced his retirement from the NFL in February 2024.
His main role is an analyst on the network’s flagship NFL show ‘Monday Night Countdown’ where he, Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears look back at Sunday’s NFL action and then analyze the ‘Monday Night Football’ game.
Away from football, Kelce served as a special guest announcer for the final three games in the TGL season, which took place at the start of March.
In 2025, Kelce also hosted a late-night TV show on ESPN that was destroyed by viewers. Amid the terrible reviews, the show has not yet started production on a second season.
Kelce also worked as a special hockey correspondent for ESPN’s broadcast of the NHL Stadium Series in January.
He was also involved in NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage in Milan-Cortina, alongside wife Kylie.
Along with his brother Travis, Kelce can also be seen every week on their highly-popular ‘New Heights’ podcast.
