Jason Biggs confessed that he was initially “nervous” about sharing his sobriety journey.

“I was nervous because relapse is a big part of my story,” the actor, 47, told Page Six at the City Harvest Presents the 2026 Gala: Shaken, Not Stirred on Tuesday night. “I spent the first four years of my journey in and out of AA, and relapsing and struggling.”

The “American Pie” star added that he spoke out to be “accountable” and to possibly “motivate some people.”

Last year, Biggs appeared on the “Well with Arielle Lorre” podcast and revealed that during the throes of his addiction, he found himself climbing into a trash bin to salvage the last of his drugs.

“I was like, ‘What the f–k am I doing? This is absolutely insane,’” Biggs recalled, adding that he managed to hide the extent of his addiction from his wife, Jenny Mollen.

In 2018, the “Orange Is the New Black” star posted a photo of his one-year sobriety chip to social media.

“I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle,” he captioned the pic.

“Turns out this s–t is hard. After some fits and starts, I’ve managed to put together one year of sobriety. I’m as proud of it as anything in my life. If you’re struggling, know there’s help. Don’t be ashamed. We can do this. 💪🙏”

Biggs was on hand to celebrate City Harvest, which rescues food that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it for free to New Yorkers in need.

The “Loser” star shared that he also hates to waste food, and called himself a “leftover guy.”

“I’ve got them, I eat them, I recycle [them] into different kinds of meals,” he said. “I’m the guy that’s taking leftover Chinese food and adding eggs to it in the morning, and making a breakfast sort of scramble.”

The starry night, which raised a record-breaking amount to provide more than 12 million meals, honored Cote chef Simon Kim and was hosted by “SNL” alum Bowen Yang.
