Aston Villa are closing in on an agreement with Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho on an initial season-long loan deal.
The clubs have made a breakthrough in talks and are proceeding towards a deal before today’s deadline.
Sancho, 25, is due to become a free agent next summer but Man United have the option to extend his deal by another year.
Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho is joining Aston Villa on a season-loan deal
The England international has not played for Manchester United since August 2023.
He was loaned out to former club Borussia Dortmund in January 2024 and spent last season on a temporary deal at Chelsea.
Chelsea had an obligation to buy Sancho for £25million if they finished higher than 14th in the Premier League, which they did, but they decided to pay a £5m penalty fee instead.
