Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy has responded to the ‘crazy’ shoutout he received from Taylor Swift on the latest episode of ‘New Heights.’
The international pop star and girlfriend of Travis Kelce appeared on the podcast last week alongside his brother Jason – sending the internet into meltdown and racking up over 18million views on YouTube to date.
And Swift’s appearance on the show included a somewhat surreal name-drop of Worthy – which the second-year receiver responded to on Monday.
‘That’s crazy. I ain’t gon’ lie, she’s the biggest pop star in this generation, so it’s crazy having somebody running around the house screaming ‘we drafted you.’ That’s tight, that’s what’s up,’ he said in a video posted by the Chiefs.
In discussing her newfound passion for football since she’s been dating Kelce, Swift told the story of how she gleefully celebrated the team drafting Worthy in last year’s first round.
‘I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming: ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!,’ Swift said.

Kelce even added that Swift was the first person to tell him that Kansas City had selected the former University of Texas speedster.
The receiver went on to have a promising debut year as he racked up 638 receiving yards in the regular season and two touchdowns in his team’s Super Bowl loss to the Eagles.
Swift also left another NFL star flattered after she mentioned Jared Goff by name during the episode.
The ‘Tortured Poets Department’ artist used Goff in an analogy when describing her level of football knowledge when she first started dating Kelce more than two years ago.
‘I thought everyone was on the field at the same time,’ she said. ‘I thought that the quarterbacks – no, you don’t understand, I thought it was like Jared Goff is here and Josh Allen’s here. And they blow a whistle and go at each other… And it’s like, who’s going to win?’

Swift admitted how ‘crazy’ of a question that was in hindsight, but Goff still appreciated the shoutout.
‘Yeah, pretty crazy, huh?’ Goff said of the shoutout to reporters. ‘Very cool I guess, it was a crazy couple hours last night for me and my phone.’
Swift’s appearance on New Heights was so in demand that the channel’s stream temporarily crashed on YouTube.
During the episode, Swift briefly broke down in tears as she opened up on her long battle to reclaim her masters.
She also lifted the lid on her whirlwind romance with Kelce, her father’s recent heart surgery and her epic Eras Tour.
Kelce and the Chiefs have one more preseason game against the Bears on Friday before facing the Chargers in Brazil on September 5.
