Princess Beatrice is reportedly weighing a move to the US after her father former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandalous arrest over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Beatrice is “mortified” by the Epstein scandal and “desperate to hold things together” in the midst of the public scrutiny of her family, a source told the Daily Mail in a report published Saturday.

While she does have her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s property business to consider, the move has become more of a possibility given the “precedent” set by other members of her family who have also departed the country.

“Her sister Eugenie has lived abroad for many years now and that set the precedent,” said the source, adding that the move “would have been unthinkable a few years ago but now times are very different.”

“Moving abroad, most likely to the United States, would be a fresh start for Beatrice and Edo and it would also mean they could give their marriage a kick start and get it back on track.”

The couple allegedly feels they would be “sitting ducks” by staying in the UK because “the Andrew and Sarah [Ferguson] problem isn’t going to go away.”

“There is the police investigation which will last several months and if Andrew is charged then there will be a trial and that’s just more attention they can do without,” the insider noted.

“A move to the United States would certainly seem obvious for them. Edo spends a lot of time there so I can easily see them moving there.”

And with the help of their cousin Prince Harry — who relocated to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle, after resigning from their positions as royals — the likelihood of the possibility has increased.

The source added that Beatrice has also been receiving help from her cousin, Prince Harry (pictured above with Beatrice and her husband at the Coronation of King Charles III). Getty Images

“Both sisters are in touch with their cousin Harry, and he has been offering them advice and there was talk of them staying in California for a while,” said the source.

Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on the day of his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly forwarding confidential trade documents to Epstein.

According to the source, the arrest news allegedly “really hit the sisters hard and especially Beatrice because she needed Edo with her and he was away with work in the United States, drumming up trade for his property business.”

The arrest allegedly damaged Beatrice’s relationship with her husband as she “needed a shoulder to cry on, but he wasn’t there for her,” according to a source. Getty Images

The moment significantly damaged her marriage as “she needed a shoulder to cry on, but he wasn’t there for her and that really upset her but they are desperate to make a good go of things.”

“They know how things appear, but they want to really try,” added the source.

Kensington Palace did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
