Donald Trump has called the January 6 insurrection a “day full of love” as he blasted CNN for “false reporting”.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday (3 June), the US president accused the outlet, as well as The New York Times, of “abusing people so badly”.
Referring to the January 6 Capitol attacks, Mr Trump claimed that the publication “destroyed great people” with their coverage.
He said that “people went there with love”. He added: “There was so much love and, and friendship. It was the most amazing thing. People were crying.”
