Evidence of some of Tiger Woods’ earliest golfing accomplishments were sold at auction for a significant price.

In spite of his recent arrest for DUI, Woods is still beloved in the golfing community and items connecting fans to his legendary history continue to fetch high prices.

Woods was a golfing prodigy as a child, appearing on The Mike Douglas Show in front of Bob Hope and Jimmy Stewart at two-years-old to show off his stuff.

Within years, Woods would establish himself as one of the best young golfers in history and would soon win consistently on the PGA Tour. But long before then, Woods was building his name he was just a kid with a growing reputation and a hunger for greatness.

Some examples of that young promise were put up for sale at Golden Age Auctions during their Masters Week auctions.

A pair of trophies that Woods won at the ages of seven and eight were sold through the auction house for just shy of $53,000.

The trophies were from putting competitions at Heartwell Golf Park in Long Beach, California.

Both trophies were for ‘lowest gross score’ in competitions in 1983 and 1984.

Per the listing, the trophies ended up in the hands of a ‘family friend’ while he worked as an assistant pro at the Navy Golf Course in Cypress.

After holding on to them for 35 years, the golf pro decided to put them up for sale.

Woods’ memorabilia always manages to fetch a high price at auction houses.

Back in 2022, the set of irons Woods used to win four straight majors between 2000 and 2001 – in the famous ‘Tiger Slam’ – were sold for $5.15million.

Another piece of memorabilia sold at this auction was a Scotty Cameron putter made for now-President Donald Trump.

The putter, which started at a bid of $1,000, was ultimately sold for just under $41,000 at auction.
