Stefon Diggs is reportedly being ordered by a judge to explain how he knows the male influencer who accused him of sexual assault as their legal battle rages on.

Christopher Griffith, who claims he struck up a professional relationship with Diggs in 2022 while working as his style advisor and advising him on his clothing line, has accused the NFL star of intentionally drugging him and making unwanted sexual advances towards him, as well as later conspiring to kill him.

Diggs, who split from girlfriend Cardi B earlier this year, responded by suing Griffith for defamation in November 2025, alleging that he concocted the lurid tale and repeatedly denying the accusations.

Griffith then countersued him in response to the defamation lawsuit, before levying a fresh legal challenge against him in April, according to a court filing reviewed by the Daily Mail, which asked a judge to compel Diggs to turn over financial information.

Amid their ongoing war in court, TMZ claims that the judge in the defamation case ruled on a series of discovery disputes, one of which centers on the question of how the two knew each other before the alleged incident.

Griffith had asked the wide receiver to describe their relationship prior to the night in question, before he used the word ‘acquaintances.’

However, it appears the judge was not satisfied with his assessment, as he has ordered Diggs to provide a ‘truthful, complete, and non-evasive response’ to the question.

He also directed him to provide more detailed answers about their interactions in May 2023, and which other people were at his residence at the time.

Diggs did land one victory in the ruling, nevertheless, after the judge ruled that he does not have to answer questions about prior possession or distribution of controlled substances.

In his counterclaim to the defamation lawsuit, Griffith claimed that on May 21, 2023, he was invited to stay the night at Diggs’s Maryland property as a guest of the football player. Late that night, he says they went out to a couple of nightclubs in Washington DC, where they stayed out until the early hours of May 22.

According to the court paper, while out partying, Griffith alleges that Diggs offered him ‘candy.’ He initially refused but later accepted and ate some after growing hungry.

However, Griffith claims that the candy was drugged. He alleges that after consuming the substance, his ‘pupils became extremely dilated, to the point that he could not see the color of his irises,’ his ‘skin began to tingle to the touch,’ and he ‘found it difficult to form words into complete sentence.’

He also alleges in the court paper that, despite not consuming any alcohol or other substances, he became disorientated, leading him to believe that he had been drugged.

It adds that Griffith and Diggs then returned to the latter’s home, where, while still seated in his car, the wideout allegedly exposed his penis and began to masturbate.

Diggs is alleged to have motioned for Griffith to touch his genitalia. Griffith claims that he clearly and forcefully asked Diggs to put his penis away before exiting the vehicle and heading towards the property door, according to the filing.

On the way to the entrance to the residence, Diggs allegedly gripped Griffith’s shoulder and pulled him closer. He then tried to kiss Griffith on the mouth but the stylist avoided the attempt. Instead, Diggs put his tongue in Griffith’s ear and whispered to him to ‘come to his room,’ the counterclaim alleges.

Griffith allegedly attempted to resist but claims that he found it difficult to exert force against Diggs because of the alleged substance he had unwittingly consumed. Upon entering the home, Diggs went to his room, but Griffith ran to the bathroom to plan his ‘escape,’ the court filing says.

When Griffith left the bathroom, he claims that two women and a man, Darez Diggs – one of Diggs’s younger brothers – confronted him. They allegedly threatened him and demanded that he not discuss the events of the evening and to instead say that he had stolen items from the residence, according to the court paper.

Griffith claims that he was forced into a vehicle and dropped off at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in nothing but an ill-fitting sweatshirt. Still disorientated, he managed to secure a ticket back to Los Angeles.

In a twist of events, he claims approximately one week later, on May 29, 2023, he was attacked inside his own apartment building by associates of Diggs.

The alleged assailants, including Diggs’ brother Darez, are said to have kicked and punched him several times in the head in the elevator, and to have taken several valuable items including his phone, according to his court filing.

Footage later emerged of the attack, and Darez pleaded no contest to one felony count of grand theft from a person in March 2024 in Los Angeles. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to perform 20 hours of community labor.

Griffith, who says he still has PTSD, claims he suffered traumatic brain injury, fractures to his left leg and ankle, and a meniscus tear in his left knee among other injuries in the attack.

Diggs sued Griffith for defamation over the claims, maintaining that the false accusations have seriously damaged his reputation.

In his own lawsuit, Diggs denied the allegations, accusing Griffith of fabricating the claims and intentional lying for online stature.

Diggs has been no stranger to legal troubles of late, after he recently faced charges of felony strangulation or suffocation, and misdemeanor assault and battery, stemming from an alleged dispute with his personal chef. He was eventually found not guilty in a resounding victory last month.
