S&R Carpets has officially taken its business nationwide with the launch of Carpets Online, its new e-commerce platform designed to serve customers across the UK.

The online expansion follows years of demand from shoppers outside West Yorkshire, with customers travelling from cities including London, Birmingham and Manchester to buy flooring. Known for strong service, quality products and competitive pricing, the business saw an opportunity to deliver the same experience without requiring customers to travel.

Over the last four decades, the company has grown from a small independent shop into four successful retail outlets, outperforming many competitors in a challenging market. As more consumers now prefer the convenience of online shopping, the creation of a dedicated digital brand became a natural progression.

Carpets Online launches with a hand-picked selection of bestselling and exclusive products, all available for dispatch within 36 hours. This approach allows for fast delivery and competitive pricing without sacrificing service quality. Delivery typically takes three to five working days across England and Wales, and four to seven days in more remote areas. Some customers have even received next-day delivery after other retailers failed to deliver.

The online range includes popular collections such as Dreams, featuring a thick 20mm soft pile, along with the SCS Olympia and Supreme ranges, which are known for their value and wide colour choice. Customers benefit from significantly lower prices, with one product priced at £17.97 per square metre compared to £33.99 elsewhere. Exclusive manufacturer-sourced ranges, including Richmond Deluxe and Dreams, are also available.

Grey remains the most popular colour choice, while beige is set to make a comeback in 2025. Herringbone vinyl is the preferred flooring option for kitchens and bathrooms. Many customers shop for luxury carpets, including thick bedroom styles and ultra-soft finishes. Around 30% of customers are landlords or developers who trust Carpets Online to handle complete flooring projects. LVT continues to grow in popularity and will be a major focus in 2026.

A salesperson from Carpets Online said: “Customers using the new site are already praising the personal service the team provides, which is reflected in our great reviews on Trustpilot. Rather than relying solely on online chat, staff regularly call customers to help them choose the right flooring for their home. Buying flooring is an emotional decision for many people, and speaking to a real person makes the experience easier and more reassuring.”

Behind the scenes, the business has made major investments to support growth, including relocating to a new 9,000-square-foot warehouse, expanding logistics partnerships and recruiting more staff locally. The long-term vision is to build a nationally recognised brand known for excellent service, honesty and value.

To mark the launch, customers can use the WINTER2026 discount code at checkout. Subscribers to the mailing list can unlock additional discounts ranging from five to fifteen percent, depending on order value.
