Spain star Lamine Yamal has shown fans a glimpse of his latest custom chain, believed to be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The 18-year-old is the star of the Spain team, leading them into battle against Austria in their last 32 match in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

And he was dressed for action when he arrived at the SoFi Stadium, with the most eye catching part of his attire a giant silver chain around his neck.

It’s believed Yamal purchased the chain from ‘The AJ Jewels’, who, according to their Instagram profile, make ‘custom jewels in natural diamonds and 18K gold’.

They shared a video of the crafting of the piece to their profile, describing it as ‘a custom Batman pendant inspired by the shadows of Gotham City. Meticulously designed to embody strength, mystery, and timeless heroism.’

And, while a lightning winger, Yamal is big on fashion and no stranger to making a statement.

According to popular Instagram account ‘Footballer Fits’, meanwhile, in Spain’s last game against Saudi Arabia, he wore a chain which is a one-of-one 304 chain that ‘pays homage to his neighbourhood, Rocafonda’.

He was also wearing ‘signature wrist tape’, as well as Spain’s EQT tracksuit, also donning a cap and sunglasses.

Ahead of the Austria game, the account wrote: ‘Lamine Yamal saved his hardest pre-game look yet for the World Cup knockout stages.

‘The Spain star pulled up in Chrome Hearts’ horseshoe cap and Bonennoissuer II glasses with a custom Batman chain ahead of tonight’s game against Austria.’

For his 18th birthday, meanwhile, he was gifted a large diamond encrusted gold chain featuring his initials.

It later emerged that the stunning piece, valued at upwards of £300,000, was gifted to the forward by famed Dominican rapper El Alfa.

But he also has his eyes on the football. Speaking ahead of the Austria game, he reiterated his desire to avoid an upset – as we have seen with the likes of Germany and the Netherlands so far.

‘Yes, I watch it,’ he said. ‘I watch the whole World Cup.

‘The Netherlands game was more evenly matched, but the Germany game was more of a surprise.

‘Of the stars, I am liking Vini a lot. Obviously Messi, and Saibari I think is doing very well in the World Cup. I think he’s a player who plays very good football. Not only scoring goals, but he’s also playing well.’
