Manchester City are threatening to derail Arsenal’s move for Jeremy Monga after stepping up talks for the teenager.
The 16-year-old Leicester City winger had been set on a move to Arsenal and looked destined to sign.
However, with Arsenal so far falling short of Leicester’s £10m valuation, City have taken advantage of the hold up to make their own pitch.
Monga was well-known to City’s new boss Enzo Maresca when he was head coach at Leicester and the Italian is ready to welcome the teenager into the club to add competition.

Monga agreed to a one-year scholarship contract which is set to turn into a professional contract when he turns 17 next week, on July 10.
Manchester United and Brentford had also shown interest.
