Tate McRae has publicly declared herself a New York Knicks fan as she joins the team’s growing club of celebrity supporters amid their dazzling playoff run.
The Canadian pop star posted two Instagram stories on Thursday night that confirmed who she’s rooting for in the NBA playoffs.
Seemingly in a car, the first saw McRae posted a picture of herself wearing a Knicks shirt with the caption: ‘Go Knicks’.
When she got home, McRae then followed it up with a mirror selfie featuring her wearing a blue Knicks tee with black jeans..
McRae already has a close affinity to New York sports teams given she is dating New Jersey Devils hockey star and Olympic gold medalist Jack Hughes.
It remains to be seen whether McRae’s support of the Knicks will see her watch either Game 3 or 4 when the NBA Finals come to Madison Square Garden next week.

The Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 and were supported by their loyal A-list fan base in Texas with the likes of Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet watching on from the stands.
President Donald Trump has also confirmed he will be attending Game 3 in New York on Monday night.
According to Us Weekly in March, McRae and Hughes are now ‘exclusively’ dating after beginning a new relationship in 2025.
‘Tate and Jack are dating,’ a source told the outlet. ‘They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other.’
The couple were spotted on a dinner date in November before being seen the following month on a stroll in New York City.
McRae, 22, was even seen at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey to watch Hughes, 24, play for the New Jersey Devils.
‘[Tate] thinks [Jack] is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,’ the source told US Weekly.
‘She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.’
McRae, a native of Calgary, Alberta, received backlash for appearing in an ad for NBC featuring American athletes. She later clarified that she was ‘Canada down.’
