Controversial Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has revealed the identity of his new partner as he confirmed they have been together for three months.
Kyrgios revealed last month that he was in a new relationship with a mystery woman just weeks after being spotted with a glamorous brunette at the Australian Open.
The 31-year-old introduced his followers to his new flame in a post featuring a photo of them together accompanied by the caption ‘life keeps surprising me’.
It’s been revealed that the mystery woman is Melbourne-based Danai Stamati.
Kyrgios – who separated from long-term girlfriend Costeen Hatzi in March 2025 – confirmed the romance with a social media post.
The tennis star shared a post from Stamati on his Instagram story on Monday night, featuring photos of the pair with the captions ‘Appreciate you’ and ‘Happy birthday handsome boy. Proud of you every day’.
For months, fans were wondering who Kyrgios was dating – and now he has finally revealed the identity of the mystery woman in this photo
Kyrgios took to Instagram on his 31st birthday to reveal his new flame is Danai Stamati
The tennis star was happy to answer questions from fans asking about his new partner (Danai Stamati is pictured)
Kyrgios also uploaded a photo of them holding hands, saying he was ‘grateful’ for Stamati, who names Nafpaktos in Greece as her hometown on Facebook.
In another story on Instagram, Kyrgios replied to a fan who asked him how long he has been with Stamati.
‘3 months,’ he wrote back.
While details are thin on how the couple met, Danai lists her profession as a sales floor assistant for Metricon and her social media reveals she will celebrate her 24th birthday this September.
She also posted a video to her TikTok showing her travelling through Greece in 2022. Kyrgios has embraced his Greek heritage through his father George and has even hinted at representing the nation at the Olympics in the past.
Danai is already a hit with the Kyrgios family, with the couple sharing images of playing happily with Nick’s niece and nephew Sofia and George, his brother Cristos’s children.
Kyrgios said he felt ‘grateful’ that Stamati was in his life after hiding her identity in photos like this one
The former Wimbledon finalist also told fans his next tournament will be in Stuttgart
Nick has also obviously introduced her to the parents already as well, with Danai following both his father George and mother Nill on social media.
She also bears more than a passing resemblance to Kyrgios’s former flame Costeen.
Kyrgios and Hatzi dated from late 2021 to March 2025, frequently sharing their life on social media.
Hatzi confirmed the split in May 2025, saying they no longer spoke, but did not reveal the reason the relationship fell apart.
Before and after his relationship with Hatzi, Kyrgios was linked to other figures, including a rumoured connection to Love Island star Mia Dalkos.
He’s also dated fellow tennis players Ajla Tomljanović and Anna Kalinskaya.
Kyrgios had an assault charge dismissed by a magistrate after he pleaded guilty to shoving his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari in 2021.
He admitted assaulting Passari on January 10 that year by pushing her to the ground after a heated argument.
Kyrgios said he was ‘not in a good place’ at the time, and that he ‘reacted to a difficult situation in a way I deeply regret’.
The former Wimbledon finalist also told fans on Instagram this week that his next tournament is the Boss Open in Stuttgart, Germany, which begins on June 6.
The tournament marks the start of the grass court season after the French Open.
Grass is the favoured surface of the big-serving Canberran, who also stated on Instagram that the match he most regrets losing is the 2022 Wimbledon final.
He was beaten in four sets by Novak Djokovic.
