Quintayvious Hutchins, a seventh-round New England Patriots draft pick in April, has been charged with domestic assault on a family/household member.
The 23-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on personal recognizance. He was arraigned Wednesday with the alleged incident happening on Tuesday, as per Mass Live.
‘We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins,’ the Patriots said in a statement on Wednesday.
‘We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have further comment at this time.’
Hutchins signed his four-year pro deal with the Patriots last weekend after playing as a linebacker for Boston College. He left rookie minicamp on the second day of practice last week with an injury.
According to Sports Illustrated, Hutchins was arrested following an incident at a Boston College dorm room.

It comes amid the fallout of head coach Mike Vrabel’s alleged affair with Dianna Russini
The situation poses another headache for the Patriots that they could do without amid the ongoing scandal involving head coach Mike Vrabel. In early April, Vrabel was pictured getting intimate with Athletic NFL reporter Dianna Russini at an adults-only resort in Arizona. Both of them are married with children.
After fiercely denying suggestions they were having an affair, Russini resigned from her role and a string of pictures of the pair spanning across years, dating back to 2020, slowly began to emerge.
Vrabel missed the final day of the draft – the day the Patriots picked Hutchins – to attend counseling.
‘I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them,’ Vrabel said of his move to miss the third day.
‘In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend.
‘This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them. I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be.
‘This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result.’
Russini was pictured outside her home in New Jersey kissing her husband, Shake Shack executive Kevin Goldschmidt, on Mother’s Day. It was the first time she has been seen since the scandal broke.

A source told Page Six about how the couple have handled the ongoing fallout from the affair allegations.
‘People in the community have said they’ve been very resilient as a family. They haven’t been in hiding,’ the insider told the outlet.
Attention on the upcoming 2026 season will step up this week when, on Thursday night, the NFL drops the full schedule for the new campaign.
