NBA star Anthony Edwards has quietly tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Shannon Jackson in a secret ceremony, official court documents show.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star, 24, and Jackson officially wed on July 16 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the Minnesota Official Marriage System.
Speculation surrounding the pair’s relationship status reached a fever pitch after eagle-eyed fans spotted Edwards wearing a black band on his ring finger during an appearance at Fanatics Fest in New York last week.
The couple, who first went public in 2020 shortly after Edwards was selected first overall, share a two-year-old daughter named Aislynn, who was born in March 2024.
The surprise wedding comes directly on the heels of a major legal victory for the basketball star in his child support dispute with ex-girlfriend Ayesha Howard over their one-year-old daughter, Aubri.
A Georgia judge recently ruled in favor of Edwards, establishing the state as the proper jurisdiction for the case and ordering him to pay $3,222 per month in child support – rejecting Howard’s attempts to litigate for a larger sum in California.

Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed Howard failed to appear for trial or present evidence to back her claims, noting Edwards had already voluntarily paid $110,000 in support since January 2025 prior to the final ruling.
With his off-court legal matters officially wrapped up, the four-time All-Star now turns his full attention toward his upcoming campaign in Minnesota following an elite 2025-26 season where he averaged 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
There is renewed belief in Minnesota that it could be a historic campaign for the franchise after sealing a blockbuster trade with the Charlotte Hornets for LaMelo Ball.
The Hornets also traded away Josh Green. In exchange, the Timberwolves gave up Naz Reid and a collection of draft picks.
The three first-round pick swaps will be in 2028, 2029 and 2030. The Hornets also will get three second-round picks in 2029, 2032 and 2033.
Ball was reportedly happy in Charlotte after a rejuvenated Hornets finished just one play-in win short of the playoffs last season. They have not been in the postseason since 2016.
But the Hornets fielded a number of ‘aggressive’ offers, with the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers also keen on Ball.
