Meghan Trainor has cancelled her forthcoming “Get In Girl” tour, saying she wants to focus on her family after the arrival of her third child.

The “All About That Bass” singer made the announcement in a social media post on Friday. “After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,” she wrote.

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time.”

The tour had been scheduled to begin on 12 June in Clarkston, Michigan, and was set to run across North America, with planned stops in cities including Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Houston.

Swedish pop duo Icona Pop had been announced as a supporting act for the tour.

Trainor apologised to fans in her message, writing: “I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down. But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”

The tour cancellation comes ahead of the release, on 24 April, of her seventh studio album, Toy With Me. The album includes previously released singles “Get In Girl”, “Still Don’t Care”, and “Shimmer”.

Trainor and her husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their third child, a daughter named Mikey Moon, in January via surrogacy. The couple also parent two sons, four-year-old Riley and two-year-old Barry.

In a November 2025 interview, Trainor said she planned to approach the tour with a “no sleep, power through and thrive” mindset.

“I will do the show. We get up at 7am because the kids get up at 7am and then we go find an amusement park or a museum. They love children’s museums,” she told People magazine.

“Then we eat lunch together, I do a soundcheck, we have early dinner so that I don’t burp on stage.”

She added that even “in full glam”, she would help manage childcare with her husband, mother and nanny, describing the routine as “chaos”, before performing and repeating the schedule the next day.
