A longtime devoted aide to President Donald Trump, who credits him with saving her life, is reportedly the primary White House staffer helping the president churn out posts on Truth Social.

Natalie Harp, the 34-year-old executive assistant to the president, compiles screenshots of social media posts from allies or fans praising the president, bolstering familiar conspiracy theories, condemning Democrats or insulting Trump’s opponents for the president to review, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Once Trump approves the content, via phyiscally printed-out drafts, Harp goes onto the president’s Truth Social account and posts them – often during off-hours such as late at night, over the weekend or even on holidays.

The president does post messages on his Truth Social account himself too, White House officials told the Journal.

But at times, the posts that push the envelope have landed the president in trouble. Most recently, Trump faced scrutiny for posting an AI-generated image of himself appearing as a Christ-like figure. He also received harsh backlash for posting a video that included a racist clip of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as monkeys.

The White House blamed an unnamed staffer for “erroneously” posting the video that featured a clip of the Obamas as monkeys and Trump brushed off concern about the AI photo, claiming he thought it depicted him as a doctor.

Those familiar with the situation told the Journal that Harp was the staffer who posted both, at Trump’s direction.

The Independent has asked Harp for comment.

When reached for comment, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung declined to comment on whether Harp was the unnamed staffer who posted the controversial content.

“We don’t discuss internal deliberations of how the process works, but no other social-media tool has been more effective than Truth,” Cheung said.

He added, “Truth Social has never been hotter, and it’s because President Trump offers his unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people, without the biased media taking him out of context.”

Harp does not share potential posts with other Trump staffers, choosing to only seek the president’s approval first, which can frustrate other officials, according to the Journal.

Harp has been working for the president since at least 2022, two years after Trump invited her to speak onstage at the 2020 Republican National Convention in favor of his health care policy the “Right to Try.”

It was there that Harp, a bone cancer survivor, credited Trump’s health care policy with saving her life and compared him to Jimmy Stewart’s character in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

“I wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for you,” Harp said.

However, experts later cast doubt on Harp’s claim, pointing out to the Washington Post that the timeline Harp gave, and the description of her treatment indicated Trump’s health care policy had little or no impact.

After a stint hosting a show on One America News Network, a conservative cable channel, Harp joined Trump’s team. She quickly developed a reputation for being unfalteringly loyal to the president, accompanying him everywhere – including the golf course – to show him flattering articles and social media posts after his 2020 loss.

To keep the president’s spirits up, Harp would reportedly carry around a laptop, and sometimes a printer, to physically show him articles, earning her the nickname the “human printer,” New York Times reported.

“She keeps everybody in a really good mood, and most importantly, she keeps the president in a really good mood,” Rep. Ronny Jackson, the president’s former physician, told Fox News Digital in 2024.

While admirable to some, Harp’s devotion to the president has also raised the eyebrows of others in Trump’s circle – particularly after Harp sent letters expressing her deep appreciation and admiration for the president, the New York Times claimed in a 2024 report.

“You are all that matters to me,” Harp reportedly wrote in one of those letters, while referring to Trump as her “Guardian and Protector.”

“I don’t ever want to let you down,” she allegedly wrote.

In another letter, Harp told the president she hoped they could return to “that synergy” they once had where “we’d talk about everything and nothing.”
