Police have charged a man over a wild brawl at an under-17s soccer match in Sydney that saw an 18-year-old taken to hospital with a bite to his back.
Emergency services were called to the fight at Amour Park on Iluka Street, Revesby at about 3.30pm on Saturday.
The clash involved up to 40 people and police were told spectators entered the field after players began fighting.
Paramedics treated an 18-year-old man for a bite wound to his back before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment for that and other injuries.
A 47-year-old man from Greenacre in Sydney’s south-west was arrested by police on Sunday and charged with affray and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The man will appear in Bankstown Local Court on June 25 after being granted conditional bail.

‘NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an 18-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he received further treatment for injuries including a bite to his back,’ NSW Police said in a statement.
‘Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were informed that a number of spectators had entered the field of play after a fight broke out between players.’
