Independent candidate Marcus Farmer is to stand in his third Greater Manchester mayoral election.
The businessman came sixth out of nine candidates in 2021, receiving just under 1% of the vote with 6,448 votes.
Four years earlier he came sixth out of six polling 3,360 which was .59% of the poll.
The election, which takes place on 30 July, was triggered because former mayor Andy Burnham was elected as MP for Makerfield.
