An international soccer manager suffered a brutal cut to his head on Friday night after a fan threw a beer can at him.
Mexican national team coach Javier Aguirre sustained the bloody injury at the end of his team’s game against Honduras.
At the end of the game that Mexico lost 2-0, Aguirre walked up to greet Colombian coach Reinaldo Rueda.
Footage shows angry fans throwing several missiles at Aguirre, 65, as he tries to leave the field.
However, a beer can is then thrown precisely at Aguirre. He doesn’t see it coming before it slices across his head.
Aguirre initially shakes off the blow but then the severity of his cut becomes clear when it stars bleeding profusely.

Aguirre ignored medics’ help, instead he continued to walk off the field after the game
Medics rush over to help Aguirre, who seems to be unbothered by the situation as he continues to shake hands with opposition coaches.
At one point, it even looks like he refuses treatment as he makes his way off the field and down into the locker room.
Speaking afterwards, Aguirre insisted there was ‘no need to mention’ the scary incident.
‘Nothing it is just soccer, the game was hard fought, and they played better,’ Aguirre said.
‘Regarding the other (the incident), there’s no need to mention it, I’m not one who complains, it is just soccer, nothing happened.’
The 65-year-old Aguirre is in this third stint at the helm of the Mexican national team.
‘I’m sad for what happened at the end of the match, because he is a human being,’ said Rueda. ‘I want to apologize to the Mexican people and to Aguirre, this cannot happen.’
Mexico will host Honduras next Tuesday in the second leg of their Nations League quarterfinal series.
