- Jamie Chapman suffers painful ankle injury
- Star has suffered several setbacks in 2025
Glamorous NRLW star Jaime Chapman’s year has gone from bad to worse after the Titans speedster suffered a serious ankle injury against the Roosters over the weekend.
One of the best players in the league, Chapman landed awkwardly on her ankle as she made a tackle in her team’s 24-8 loss on Sunday.
She knew something was wrong immediately and could be seen clutching at her leg as her teammates called for the trainers.
‘She got squashed under this, it looks really uncomfortable,’ commentator Ruan Sims said in commentary.
‘She tried to skip out and just got caught underneath a couple of Roosters bodies.
‘It looks like the left leg just got folded up underneath her.’

Chapman was eventually assisted off the field by a couple of Titans trainers, with the full extent of her injury still not officially known.
Brien Seeney – better known as the NRL Physio on X – told his 57,000-plus followers that Chapman’s injury could be a possible fracture following ‘significant rotation’, but is hopefully not season-ending.
On Tuesday, Chapman gave her fans an update on social media by posting a photo of herself in a moonboot with the caption: ‘BRB (be right back) fam. Appreciate all your messages, I see you and thank you.’
It’s been a challenging year for the 23-year-old who fractured the L2 vertebra in her lower lumbar spine when playing for the Indigenous All Stars against the Maori All Stars on February 15.
After recovering from the injury, Chapman was later targeted in a deepfake photo attack, and revealed it was not the first time someone has used AI to produce a doctored photograph of her.
Chapman spoke out online about the ‘scary’ and ‘damaging’ effect the deepfake images have had on her.
In June, Chapman ended her relationship with Queensland Origin fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, with Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealing that the couple split because of an X-rated video of ‘Hammer’ with another woman.
The footage features another young woman known to the Dolphins NRL star filming herself performing a sex act on him.

Chapman has had a turbulent year, already enduring a broken vertebra and an AI deepfake photo scandal that led to a police investigation
Tabuai-Fidow was easily identifiable due to his tattoos, including a recent piece featuring a bear wearing a crown that he had inked on his right thigh.
Chapman is arguably the poster girl of the NRLW competition after first entering the league with St George in 2021 before shifting to the Broncos and now, the Titans.
She has gone from star club player to being one of the NSW Blues’ best in State of Origin and earning five appearances for the national side, the Jillaroos.
Chapman first made her mark in rep footy when she starred for the NSW Under-18s side in the first ever junior Origin match against Queensland in 2019.
