Eduardo Camavinga could be allowed to leave Real Madrid this summer.
The 23-year-old France international is keen to remain at the Bernabeu but may be made available for transfer to offset spending elsewhere.
Manchester City and Manchester United have both considered Camavinga, but cost will obviously be key if the player is put up for transfer.
City are discussing Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi as it stands, whose value has escalated but is only 18 and, potentially, would be a greater long-term investment.

United, budget-wise, are also looking for more conservatively priced options or deals that can be structured.
Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has begun pre-season training and is still awaiting one or two more additions while assessing the players at his disposal. Some will be allowed out on loan or sale.
Fulham, for example, are attentive to the situations of Gonzalo Garcia and Franco Mastantuono.
