An Amtrak train smashed into a garbage truck that was crossing the tracks in Kingstree, South Carolina.
CCTV footage shared by Kingstree Auction Company on Wednesday (1 April) shows the vehicle going over the railroad crossing before a train collides with the back of it, missing the front of the truck by a mere few feet.
The Williamsburg County Fire Department said on Facebook that the “driver of the garbage truck was able to get out of the truck on his own with minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation”.
They added: “No injuries were reported by the passengers and crew on the train.”
