Bolton Wanderers have signed Hull City centre-back Akin Famewo for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old joined the Tigers from Sheffield Wednesday last July and made 15 Championship appearances as they won promotion to the Premier League.

Famewo is Wanderers’ third signing since winning the League One play-off final following defender Ben Davies and midfielder David Watson.

“I met with the manager and everyone in charge here and speaking about aspirations and what we want to achieve here it was really exciting times,” he told the club website., external
