NFL star Patrick Mahomes seemingly wasn’t taken with the World Cup action on Saturday night as he turned his attention elsewhere.
The quarterback attended the quarter-final clash between defending champions Argentina and Switzerland at Arrowhead Stadium – the home of his team the Kansas City Chiefs – with his wife Brittany.
The three-time Super Bowl winner was captured watching the game from a luxury VIP suite at the stadium on the television broadcast.
However, he didn’t seem too impressed with the showdown at one point as he appeared distracted, chatting away with his wife.
The signal caller even issued a bizarre demand to someone off camera as he bemoaned the lack of goals between the two sides, lipreading expert Nicola Hickling has exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail.
‘What are they doing? The f***,’ an exasperated Mahomes said to his wife, according to Hickling. ‘That was a goal right there. This is not happening.’

The Chiefs star then turned his focus away from the pitch and looked to someone off camera to his left.
‘Get me two burgers,’ he appeared to demand.
After putting in his mid-game food order, the disinterested Mahomes let out a big yawn.
‘I mean, look at me yawning and sitting here,’ he continued, before fake laughing.
Mahomes appeared to be backing superstar Lionel Messi and the defending champions, if his attire was anything to go by.
The Chiefs quarterback sported a limited-edition adidas Argentina ‘Thrasher’ jersey, while his wife of four years opted against wearing branded gear that might betray her rooting interests.
He did get to see some Messi magic in the first half when the Argentinian legend delivered a corner to teammate Allexis Mac Allister, who scored the game’s opening goal.
It was actually shortly after the goal that Fox cameras caught Mahomes seated a row behind Brittany, as she appeared to be enjoying some ice cream.

Switzerland would later score an equalizer in the second half, which was shortly followed by a red card for Swiss forward Breel Embolo.
Despite taking the game to extra-time, 10-men Switzerland couldn’t withstand the pressure of the Argentine attack with Messi and co. sealing a 3-1 win through strikes from Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez.
The Mahomeses’ World Cup date night came the day after they had attended the wedding of former Chiefs teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster.
The couple were joined by close friends, newlyweds Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, for the ceremony in California.
They rarely strayed from Kelce and Swift’s side with Brittany and Mahomes taking pride of place next to the Grammy Award winner and the Chiefs tight end during the ceremony.
It came one week after Brittany and Mahomes had helped celebrate Kelce and Swift’s own wedding spectacular.
The signal caller and his longtime partner were among an estimated 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden as teammate and close friend Kelce tied the knot with Swift in an extravagant ceremony on July 3.
