- A WWE legend has revealed he could make a spectacular return to the ring
- The former superstar explained how he has shredded the pounds to get fit
Legendary WWE superstar Mick Foley has teased a potential return to the ring after providing a health update discussing his remarkable weight loss journey.
Foley officially announced his retirement from wrestling in 2013 following a lifelong stint in the sport where he earned a global status on the WWE circuit after carving out an initial career at rival organisations.
The 59-year-old fought under several character identities during his time in the sport with Cactus Jack and Mankind amongst the aliases used as Foley’s popularity saw him earn fans all over the world.
However, the American has battled obesity problems in recent years and described his previous condition as being ‘a heart attack waiting to happen’ before deciding to shed the excess pounds.
Now, a rejuvenated Foley has explained on his YouTube channel how he has dropped from a bloated 163kg to 127kg with the aid of exercise, clean eating, and medication.
‘I did it the old-fashioned way, it was really a three-step process,’ said the WWE icon.

‘Healthier eating, working out, and I cheated. I went to a doctor, they saw me at over 370 pounds and suggested I could use a little help in the form of Wegovy. I know some people call it cheating, I just thought it was levelling the playing field.
‘I’d lost all my strength, my metabolism was at an all-time low, I was gaining weight by the day. I couldn’t walk up a slight incline when I was getting off my plane without having to sit down for five or ten minutes,’ he added.
‘I thought, ‘I’m a heart attack waiting to happen,’ and if I need a little help, I should take that. So man, I’m taking it pretty easy. DDPYoga, some swimming.
‘I’m not 21, I can’t jump into things like I did last year and think I can just go back to working out like I did when I was 21 and in pretty good shape. I feel pretty good. I’m feeling good,’ stated Foley.

The wrestling veteran then continued to tease supporters that he could be appearing at this year’s Royal Rumble event where he refused to provide a definitive answer on whether he would feature.
‘I wouldn’t say I’m not entering the Royal Rumble. But I’m not entering the Royal Rumble [laughs],’ he said.
‘No, that’s a pretty big leap from what I’ve been saying. [Phone rings]. Hold on, let me get this. Hm, 203? Hello? [Triple H’s theme song plays]. Hey Hunter. No, I’m doing good. You saw me in the Nightmare Rumble?
‘I have lost some weight, yeah. I have been working out. Royal Rumble? Let me call you right back. Thanks, Triple H,’ joked Foley.
