American tennis star Taylor Fritz pocketed almost $500,000 after losing his fourth-round match at the Australian Open, but spending a week in Melbourne was even more lucrative for his influencer partner.

Morgan Riddle was on hand to support Fritz at Melbourne Park last week, but the wildly popular social media influencer wasn’t only there as a fan.

While Fritz earned $480,000 for his week’s work, Riddle took home about $498,000 thanks to advertising deals, brand collaborations and her online presence.

Riddle, 28, is arguably the most famous WAG on tour, but also works for competitions including Wimbledon and has been involved with Formula One.

She joked that if her partner didn’t win his fourth-round match, she’d be the main breadwinner while in Melbourne.

‘You have to get through the round of 16 first, otherwise I’ll earn more than you,’ she told him before the tournament.

World No.9 Fritz lost to Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets on Monday and his partner took a cheeky jab at him after the loss.

‘It’s almost a competition between us at Grand Slams and other tournaments to see who earns more money during the tournament,’ Riddle said.

‘He’s always encouraged and supported me. That’s how we became a dual-income household.’

Riddle boasts almost 500,000 Instagram followers.

Aussies online loved seeing her strut her stuff at Melbourne Park.

‘Well deserved. Her content is so unique and cool that many other WAGs try to do the same,’ one person wrote on Instagram.

‘Morgan Riddle is a boss woman,’ another wrote.

Some, however, weren’t fans of her out-earning Fritz.

‘Earns more on Instagram than a talented player? That only shows what’s wrong with this world,’ one person wrote.

‘I’m a fan of them both but that is really sad. I was at the AO and it’s not about tennis anymore unfortunately,’ another wrote.

Fritz and Riddle met in 2020 on the exclusive dating app Raya, during the COVID-19 pandemic when she moved to Los Angeles and was looking to meet people.

She has been seen celebrating Fritz’s points during matches while capturing the imagination of Aussie tennis crowds.

Earlier this month Fritz opened up about a scary incident in London in 2024, during which he had to use his racquet as a last resort to protect Riddle from intruders.

Fritz and Riddle were victims of an attempted break-in while on holiday in London in October 2024.

Riddle uploaded a photo showing the entrance to their apartment, writing: ‘At 4am this morning Taylor and I wake up to someone trying to enter the code and break into the front door of the Airbnb we’re staying at in London’.

Riddle added more than 7,000 followers to her Instagram account during the Australian Open as she turned heads in the crowd.
