An attempt to show up Aussie footballers has backfired spectacularly on YouTube sensation IShowSpeed after he was beaten by an AFL star in a foot race.
IShowSpeed, born Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is a 19-year-old YouTuber and live streamer from Ohio who is currently touring Australia.
With over 33 million YouTube subscribers, he has built a massive following through gaming, daring stunts, and challenges with famous athletes, such as racing Olympic champion Noah Lyles and jumping over a speeding Lamborghini.
After making appearances in iconic Sydney locations including Taronga Zoo and Bondi Beach, he showed up to GWS pre-season training on Friday and was not shy to get involved.
For AFL and Giants fans in particular, the result was beyond doubt.

‘Also not biased, Darcy won,’ agreed another supporter.
‘Darcy lowkey burned him in that race,’ a confident GWS fan posted,.
‘Darcy jones is the GOAT,’ added another.
The American was not having any of it, though, emphatically claiming victory.
‘I won, you lost bro,’ he said as he high-fived GWS players.
Jones offered an olive branch, saying. ‘it was a draw’.
The two speedsters went to the video replay – vision taken on a mobile phone – but still couldn’t agree on a winner.
GWS players said that Jones’ head was in front, while Speed correctly maintained that Olympic and World Athletics guidelines state that the first athlete whose torso reaches the closest edge of the finish line is the winner.
However the vision still appeared to show Jones’ torso cross first.
The club itself has made the result ‘official’, declaring their speedster the winner over the American YouTube star.
Speed also got involved in training drills and wrestles including being ragdolled by Callum Brown at GWS training
The session was even appreciated by former GWS players like Cooper Hamilton, who made the above post
‘No denying Darcy Jones is faster than Ishowspeed,’ the club posted along with vision of the race.
To put Jones’ race into perspective, Speed only just lost his race against Noah Lyles which he had a $100k bet on.
Former GWS player Cooper Hamilton also shared vision on Instagram of Speed engaging in wrestling drills with Toby Bedford.
‘Hahaha this is mad,’ the axed Giants star posted.
‘IShowSpeed, an exceptionally popular American streamer with over 33 million subscribers on YouTube, is currently being chucked around by Callum Brown at GWS training,’ another footy follower posted.
‘This is the most GWS thing ever,’ added another.
