Tourism NI has launched a new growth programme for tourism businesses

The Workplace Excellence Programme is a two-year tourism growth programme designed to build long-term success through a culture of excellence in the workplace.

By attracting and retaining top talent, tourism businesses are best placed for success, creating environments where people are proud to work and ultimately deliver exceptional visitor experiences.

Who should participate?

Support is available for businesses that aspire to have motivated, well-supported employees that deliver outstanding customer experiences and drive real business results. This growth programme is best suited for businesses with significant workforces where the impacts of the programme can have best success.

What does the programme include?

Participating businesses will receive

  • an independent and confidential employee survey within your organisation
  • a bespoke action plan based on the results of the employee survey
  • one to one HR expert people management support and training over a two year period
  • certification and recognition within Tourism NI’s Workplace Excellence Programme

Businesses are encouraged to join the programme to

  • build a high-performing team that delivers stronger visitor experiences and drives business results
  • improve staff retention and reduce recruitment costs through higher employee satisfaction
  • strengthen your employer brand to attract skilled talent in a competitive market
  • achieve measurable improvements with a tailored action plan supported by expert HR mentoring

Businesses are expected to commit for two years and provide a senior level lead to ensure programme success.

Expressions of interest will close on Friday 31 July at 5pm.

A formal registration process will follow the initial call.
