Women-led deep tech startups can apply for EU funding

Women TechEU 2 EIC is an EU-funded programme for women-led early-stage deep tech startups across Europe. Successful applicants will receive €75,000 in non-dilutive funding, plus mentoring, coaching and training to help develop their business.

The scheme will support 160 women entrepreneurs over two years, with a total of €12 million available through open calls.

Women TechEU 2 EIC – Eligibility Strand

The new Women TechEU 2 EIC call will follow a two-stage application process. Applicants must first complete the Eligibility Strand to verify that they meet the programme’s participation requirements. If they are eligible, they will be invited to submit a full proposal.

To be eligible, a startup must be

  • women-led
  • working in deep tech
  • based in an eligible EU or Horizon Europe-associated country (UK included)
  • registered for at least six months and no more than five years
  • have raised less than €1 million in equity
  • have women holding at least 25% of shares
  • have at least one woman founder or co-founder in a top management role

How to apply

Submissions to the Eligibility Strand are open on a weekly basis, with cut-off dates every Tuesday at 5pm CEST. The first cut-off is 30 June 2026, and the final cut-off is 13 July 2027.

Submissions must be completed through the Sploro platform.

Read the competition guidance and apply early to avoid technical issues. Eligibility results will be sent through the platform within one week of the cut-off date.
