WNBA veteran Sophie Cunningham showed off her physique with an Instagram story for her 272,000 followers on the platform.
The 28-year-old appears to be enjoying the offseason with her friends and kept turned heads with a group picture over the weekend.
Cunningham posted herself in a tiny green bikini that showed her tan lines. Joining her in the mirror selfie were three of her friends, who also looked ready for a pool day.
‘My girls,’ Cunningham wrote over the picture with a sun emoji while tagging her friends Maggie, Mary, and Katy.
Cunningham averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for the Phoenix Mercury last season while shooting 37.8 percent from three-point range.
Off the court, Cunningham built a reputation as one of the league’s boldest dressers. With an array of pregame fits this season, the ever-growing fanbase has had mixed opinions about her wardrobe.

The sharpshooter turned heads before a game against the New York Liberty in late August with her Love Island-inspired outfit, dawning a revealing dress that showed off her tan lines. After fans raised questions over the dress, Cunningham clapped back by saying the outfit was ‘mom approved’.
‘I was just talking to someone, and I was like, ‘Actually my mom picked that outfit out,” Cunningham told Fox News Digital with a laugh.
‘Everyone’s all in my comments about, ‘Oh, your parents –‘ and I’m like, actually, that was my mom’s doing. But, no, I had no idea,’ she responded when asked if she thought the tan line reveal would be controversial.
Despite raising eyebrows, Cunningham takes the attention she’s getting as a sign of the WNBA’s growth. With attendance and viewership numbers reaching new heights last season, she sees how fans are gaining interest not just in the game but also in the players.
‘I do think it’s super cool that people are interested in what we do off the court now,’ Cunningham said. ‘Our tunnel fits have been a fashion show, and people are so excited and intrigued about what we’re going to wear.’
After spending her first six seasons in Phoenix, Cunningham will join forces with Caitlin Clark in Indiana this year. The Fever acquired Cunningham in a four-team trade that involved the Connecticut Sun and Dallas Wings.
