Erling Haaland has been terrorising defenders for years – and, this Halloween, the Manchester City striker has attempted to spook the public.
In a video on his new YouTube channel titled: ‘I went undercover as The Joker in the streets of Manchester,’ Haaland was seen dressing up in his home alongside girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen.
Haaland, who just months ago became a father, made reference to how he was looking forward to having his hair dyed green, and that he had ‘never done fancy dress in my life’.
Footage showed the 15-goal striker having his face painted white, with the large, traditional Joker grin added in. As he looked at himself in the mirror, Haaland said: ‘Nah, that looks sick.’
Isabel laughed as she saw the final look for Haaland, who also donned the traditional purple suit and tie. She said: ‘S***,’ before running away as her other half chased her. She added: ‘You look like the one from the movie.’
Isabel was also in the process of a makeover, which featured red contact lenses. She said: ‘I am excited for tonight. There hasn’t been much quality time with the baby, it is very important,’ with it clear the two were heading out.

When his makeover were done, Haaland told the camera: ‘Let’s have fun while buying some diapers, let’s go,’ and exited his house.
He was then seen doing kick-ups outside, and said: ‘The Joker can play football as well.’
The 25-year-old then directed his driver to a petrol station, saying he had £3. He said, in a Mancunian accent, that it was ‘enough for chocolate’.
He then approached a person filling up their car, who said: ‘I like it’ of Haaland’s outfit, seemingly not recognising him. After Haaland followed him into the shop, he said: ‘Are you the Man City boy? It is, isn’t it?’ Haaland replied: ‘Easy as that! How did you know?’ He was told it was his 6ft 5ins frame.
After an exchange with another customer, Haaland asked if the shop sold ‘diapers’. He was told no, and made a swift exit.
Haaland then made his way to another store, and eventually picked up some nappies. He said he needed something more, and picked up a saw and football magazine with his face on.
When asked by the shop keeper if he was on the front after being told he was ‘tall enough to be the Joker,’ he replied: ‘I don’t think so,’ before bursting out laughing.
Another customer in the shop caught onto the true identity of Haaland, before another eventually worked it out too. She asked: ‘Why are you dressed like that?’

After a short search, he found what he was looking for – Haaland’s son was born in December
Another fan called him a legend, telling him he was ‘so cool,’ before Haaland returned home with the nappies. By that point, Isabel was dressed as a cat, and Haaland said: ‘F***ing hell,’ before pulling a shocked face and pretending to pass out.
He ended the video posing with his girlfriend and said: ‘Guys, it’s been so much fun. We have been having a blast, but now it is time to go to the party. We are going to have a good time, so please like, comment, subscribe if you want. Hype the video.’
Isabel would later share a snap of the duo on Instagram, captioned: ‘His favourite villain.’
Earlier this month, Haaland gave fans a taste of his Cheshire mansion lifestyle; the star shares a sprawling six-bed paradise with Isabel and their baby boy, who was born in December.
He so far has two videos on his YouTube channel and nearly 650,000 subscribers. The first video, titled: ‘Day in the life of a pro footballer: Erling Haaland,’ has 5.8million views.
In the video, the Manchester City star took supporters through his daily routine, including the incredible eye for detail he has in cooking, individual physio sessions and his unorthodox habits that get the most out of his body.
The Norwegian striker began by making a breakfast of eggs on sourdough and a cup of coffee with maple syrup at the couple’s six-bedroom mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
‘Coffee is a super food in my eyes – if you do it right,’ Haaland explained. ‘Why? Depends on the quality, when you drink it, and of course how. I’m into my coffee. It needs a little bit of [raw] milk in – super food as well, I think.’
He is set to release further videos on his eponymous channel.
