Footy fans are up in arms after confirmation that music will be blared across the MCG when certain players boot goals in the AFL grand final.
Channel 7 AFL reporter Mitch Cleary tweeted the development – and it didn’t take long for supporters to vent their fury on X.
‘Another great decision by Andrew ‘Mickey Mouse’ Dillon. Get him out,’ posted one in response.
‘Has to be one of the most grating parts of the game. Can’t stand the songs, wish they would give it a spell,’ said another.
‘Songs after goals should be outlawed. The footy is the entertainment,’ a third weighed in with.
‘(A crowd of) 100,000 people but we want music to create an atmosphere? What are we doing,’ asked a fourth.
