West Ham are continuing discussions over a proposed move for Fulham winger Adama Traore.
The powerful 29-year-old has worked with manager Nuno Espirito Santos previously at Wolves and was wanted by him at Nottingham Forest.
Traore is out of contract in the summer so Fulham are ready to cash in now to gain a nominal fee.
West Ham’s prime objective is to bring in a number nine with Niclas Fullkrug edging towards a move to AC Milan.
As previously reported by Daily Mail Sport, the Italians have proposed a loan with option to buy Fullkrug for around £14m which has still to be accepted but the Germany international is keen on the move. Milan would pay his salary in full.
The Italians had also shown interest in Fiorentina’s Moise Kean who is a target for Fulham.

It would be a deal which would see Nuno Espirito Santo reunite with the former Wolves winger
In their wide-ranging search for a proven striker, West Ham have asked about Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen who was the subject of a failed £55m bid from Newcastle United in August.
The 25-year-old has been watched by several Premier League rivals including Everton this season but has scored only three times in a struggling Wolves side, two of those coming against West Ham.
The Hammers have asked about a number of other attackers but have also made enquiries for FC Utrecht left-back Souffian El Karrouani.
The 25-year-old Morocco international is another out of contract in the summer and has interest from Eintracht Frankfurt also.
