Kuwait International Airport was hit by multiple drone strikes on Saturday (28 March), causing major damage to its radar system, the country’s Civil Aviation Authority said.
Spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi told the Kuwait News Agency that no casualties were reported.
Video footage shows emergency teams rushing to contain fires and secure the area, managing the aftermath on the ground.
The attacks come amid rising regional tensions in the Middle East.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran’s parliament, warned on Sunday that Iranian forces are prepared or a ground invasion by US troops and are ready to “set them on fire and punish their regional partners forever.”
