Walmart’s summer savings event is now underway, arriving just as Amazon Prime Day enters its second day and giving shoppers another major destination for deals. Running through until 28 June, Walmart’s deals will continue for two days after Amazon’s four-day sale window draws to a close, creating nearly a full week of discounts across everything from TVs and laptops to patio furniture, kitchen appliances, and back-to-school essentials.
While many of Amazon’s best Prime Day prices sit behind a Prime membership paywall, Walmart’s sale is open to everyone, making it even easier to compare prices and shop wherever the better deal happens to be. And with retailers competing aggressively for customers’ attention this week, I’ve already seen discounts increase across several categories as each side tries to outdo the other. Lucky us.
For bargain hunters, that means this isn’t really a one-retailer event anymore, so you’ll need a shopping expert – like myself – on hand to help you narrow down the best reductions. Whether you’re upgrading your tech, replacing household essentials, or stocking up for summer, this week offers some of the best prices I’ve seen outside of Black Friday season. Let’s get into it.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+: Was $249.99, now $169, Walmart.com
The galaxy tab A11+ features an 11in display that’s ideal for streaming, browsing, and everyday tasks. It’s perfect for multitasking, thanks to its upgraded chip, plus it comes with fast charging, and expandable storage of up to 2TB for all your apps, photos, and files.
Granted, there’s not a whole lot in this price difference compared to Amazon’s offering ($169.99, Amazon.com), but if saving 99 cents matters to you, you’ll find this cheaper in Walmart’s summer sale.
Nespresso vertuo pop coffee and espresso maker: Was $94.97, now $84.97, Walmart.com

This machine gives you single serve coffee in five cup sizes, from espresso to full coffee, all brewed at the touch of a button using Nespresso vertuo capsules. It reads each pod’s code for precise brewing, heats up in 30 seconds and has an automatic used pod ejection.
You’ll find the pop+ reduced for Prime Day (was $159.95, now $94.05, Amazon.com), which makes taller coffees but uses the same brewing system. If that’s a feature you can go without, you’ll make a saving a Walmart.
The Apple airpods pro 3 are “still some of the best wireless earbuds I’ve tested,” wrote our tech critic David Phelan in his AirPods Pro 3 review. With strong noise cancellation, heart-rate tracking, and features that monitor your hearing health, he was seriously impressed.
He continued: “The AirPods Pro 3 still offer some of the best ANC I’ve used on a pair of wireless earbuds. While most noise-cancelling systems excel at quelling repetitive sounds such as aircraft engines, the AirPods Pro 3 are noticeably better at reducing more sudden noises, including traffic and busy city streets.”
If you don’t have a Prime membership, you can get them for about the same price at Walmart.
This is dubbed Apple’s most affordable iPad by our senior tech critic, Alex Lee. After testing the tablet, he wrote in his iPad review: “The A16 chip gives it a healthy speed boost, doubling the base storage finally makes sense, and the price feels actually affordable for something from Apple.”
It’s been reduced by 14 per cent at Amazon (was $349, now $299, Amazon.com), and Walmart has matched this price.
Beats powerbeats pro 2: Was $249, now $179.95, Walmart.com
After putting them to the test, tech reporter Andrew Griffin claimed that the Beats powerbeats pro 2 are “better than the AirPods in many ways.” Sound is just one of them, which he described in his Beats powerbeats review: “The sound of the Powerbeats Pro 2 is fantastic: hefty enough to power you through a workout, but not so robust that you will miss the details of what you are listening to.”
They’ve been reduced to $179.95 at Amazon (Amazon.com), and you can get them for about the same price at Walmart.
This “game-changer” air fryer is one of our favourites at IndyBest, and it’s currently discounted at Walmart.
“It’s so utterly versatile – you’re not locked into a single bulky unit, and it’s nice having two different containers to cook from,” senior tech critic Alex Lee said in his review of the Ninja crispi. “It’s honestly a game-changer being able to watch your food cook in the glass bowl. The modular design also makes it easier to store, clean and maybe even upgrade in the future if Ninja releases bigger bowls.”
Over at Amazon, the air fryer is further discounted ($152.99, Amazon.com) but if you’re not a Prime member this deal at Walmart is a great bet.
