A high school baseball game in California got too heated when the two teams nearly broke out into a massive brawl.
The contest was between La Salle and Bishop Amat in a competition for the Del Rey League championship.
Bishop Amat completed two monumental comebacks in order to clinch the title for their own.
After overcoming a 5-0 deficit, La Salle then took an 8-5 lead. But Bishop Amat managed to tie the game again before winning on a walk-off hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.
The Bishop Amat batter touched first base to seal the win and then ran straight into left field – where he was followed by the rest of his team.
While there were no prior issues, some of the Bishop Amat squad began getting in the face of the La Salle left fielder and starting a heated exchange.

Coaches eventually separated the two feuding teams before things got worse
The left fielder was intentionally bumped by a Bishop Amat player before being surrounded by multiple players.
Soon, La Salle teammates realized what was happening and sprinted over to the situation – leading to more pushing and shoving.
It seemed as if fists would fly between the two teams, but coaches and other players quickly arrived to break up the near-melee and cooler heads prevailed.
After the game ended, La Salle coach Andy Nieto offered some harsh words for his opponent.
‘I’m embarrassed for Bishop Amat,’ Nieto said. ‘I wore that uniform and that would never ever happen on my watch.
‘They won fair and square, and they deserve to celebrate, 100%. But you don’t rush my left fielder. That’s not OK.’
Bishop Amat coach Robert Prieto also did not approve of the postgame brawl: ‘These kids get out of control… totally uncalled for. I was a little disappointed.’
