Do you have an idea for technology that can transform how adults learn?
Ufi VocTech Trust (Ufi) is a UK charity that funds, supports and promotes the use of technology to improve vocational education and skills.
VocTech Activate is Ufi’s grant programme for testing and developing early ideas that use technology to improve adult vocational learning in the UK. It funds early-stage projects that
- address real-world challenges in vocational education
- offer genuinely new or better solutions than existing options
- focus on learners aged 16+, especially in sectors or areas underserved by mainstream training
Funding helps projects move from early prototypes to market readiness, offering support for the design, development and early stage testing and adoption of new approaches to digital vocational learning.
This could include activities like
- designing and building prototypes with learners
- refining the learning approach
- testing ideas with users
- planning how to grow from pilot to sustainable product
- developing market and scaling strategies
- managing the project effectively
- proving impact and showing the solution works
Grants of between £30,000 to £60,000 are available for projects of between three and 12 months duration.
Applications are open until 5pm on Tuesday 3 February 2026.
Ufi recommends watching the recording of their pre-application workshop to help you strengthen your submission. You should also use their eligibility checker to see if you meet the criteria before applying.
To apply for a Ufi grant fund, you will need to create a MyUfi account where you can access the application form. Details are available on Ufi website explaining how to apply.
