Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the United States’ opening World Cup match against Paraguay in Los Angeles.
It promises to be a spectacular occasion tonight at Los Angeles Stadium – which is usually known as SoFi Stadium – as the tournament co-hosts bid to get off to a winning start.
We still have two hours to go until kickoff, which is scheduled for 6pm over on the west coast (9pm ET). But fear not… in around 30 minutes time Katy Perry will be headlining a star-studded opening ceremony to keep you ticking over.
Then, once the extravagant pre-match festivities are finally complete, it will be time for business as Mauricio Pochettino’s men finally begin this World Cup on home soil.
