US skater Amber Glenn was forced to speak out on rumors that she is dating Olympic teammate Alysa Liu after wild viral speculation.
Glenn, 26, and Liu, 20, are close teammates after helping the USA to gold together in the team event at the Milan-Cortina Games in February.
However, some fans bizarrely began to question if the pair were more than just teammates after a viral TikTok sent the rumor mill into overdrive.
Glenn shared a clip of herself and Liu on the ice during the post-Olympic Stars on Ice tour to the social media platform last week.
The pair, wearing matching pink glittering costumes, were captured holding hands and spinning with their heads tilted back in laughter.
In the comment section of the post, which has amassed 1.8 million likes, fans began to spark speculation of a romance between the Olympians.

The rumors hit such a staggering level that Glenn was forced to address them with her own reply.
‘GUYS ALYSA IS LIKE A LITTLE SISTER TO ME! I’VE KNOWN HER SINCE SHE WAS 10 AND I WAS 16,’ she wrote.
She followed the denial up with a throwback photo of her teenage self and a much-younger Liu.
Glenn identifies as bisexual and pansexual and was the first openly queer woman figure skater to compete for Team USA when she skated at this year’s Olympics.
Ahead of the games, Glenn revealed she would be taking a break from social media after receiving a ‘scary amount of hate’ for condemning Donald Trump over his treatment of the LGBTQ+ community.
Glenn addressed the impact of the Trump administration’s policies on LGBTQ+ Americans at a press conference for the Winter Games in Italy.
The 26-year-old told reporters it has been a ‘hard time’ for the community, while insisting she wants to use her platform to ‘try and encourage people to stay strong’.
Yet just days on from that speech about America’s political climate, Glenn said she is stepping back from her social channels after being threatened online.

‘When I chose to utilize one of the amazing things about the United States of America (Freedom of speech) to convey how I feel as an athlete competing for Team USA in a troubling time for many Americans I am now receiving a scary amount of hate/threats for simply using my voice WHEN ASKED about how I feel,’ she wrote in a post on Instagram.
‘I did anticipate this but I am disappointed by it. I will be limiting my time on social media for my own wellbeing for now but I will never stop using my voice for what I believe in.’
Glenn’s comments come after Trump signed an executive order in early 2025 banning transgender women from competing against biological females in sporting competitions. His administration has also introduced measures which impact how federal agencies address health care programs and policies affecting LGBTQ+ Americans.
She and Liu, along with Isabeau Levito, formed the trio of female figure skaters for the USA who became affectionally known as the ‘Blade Angels’ following a Taylor Swift voiceover for an NBC feature on them.
All three are currently featuring in the Stars on Ice tour – an exhibition show which brings together Olympic and World Championship figure skaters for live performances across the globe.
