After allegedly posting direct messages appearing to be from Eric Trump which asked if the UFC fights at the White House would be rigged, fighter-turned-commentator Daniel Cormier is claiming he was hacked.
The scandal broke just before the fights at UFC Freedom 250, showing alleged screenshots of messages between the ex-fighter and the son of President Trump.
‘I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent,’ read a post from Cormier’s account with the screenshots attached.
Almost immediately, Eric Trump posted to X and denied the existence of the conversations.
‘We are aware of the fake, AI generated screenshots being circulated online. I have never spoken to Daniel. He has since deleted his post, which confirms it was clearly fabricated,’ Trump wrote in one X post.
After the event, which does not appear to have been affected by match fixing whatsoever, journalist Nicholas Ballasy spoke to Cormier about the validity of the posts.

Both Cormier and Trump have denied the validity of the messages, claiming they were faked
‘Not real, can’t believe you guys believed that, like who believes something like that?’ Cormier said.
When asked why it was posted to his account, Cormier responded, ‘I got hacked or something, who believes stuff like that.’
Asked again to confirm that he did not post the messages, he replied, ‘F**k no, why would I do that?’
Finally, as he was getting into his car, Cormier was asked if the journalists reporting that he did post this were wrong: ‘Yeah absolutely, whatchu talking about.’
After the tweet involving the ‘fake’ messages between him and Trump, a strange tweet appeared on Cormier’s account, saying, ‘The masks are off @erictrump.’ The tweet then also included a link to a pump fun crypto site.
Cormier appears to have re-gained access to his account, tweeting Sunday night, ‘Are people really this dumb?’
