- Tyson Fury retired for a fourth time after losing to Oleksandr Usyk in January
- But he is now training twice per day, fuelling speculation of another return
- Fans have wanted to see Fury and Anthony Joshua fight each other for years
Tyson Fury has sparked fresh speculation of a dramatic boxing comeback after revealing he’s back in full training – and doing twice-daily sessions.
The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ dramatically retired for a fourth time in January following back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, walking away from the sport with his undefeated record no longer intact.
But now, Fury appears to be edging closer to yet another U-turn – with fans convinced he is gearing up for a long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Posting to his 6.8million Instagram followers, the 36-year-old looked in high spirits as he ran along the beach in Morecambe, declaring: ‘Second session of the day… absolutely stunning down here tonight.
‘Makes you realise how much I love the training. Love working out, love running. Twice a day, seven days a week… I’m lucky to be able to work out like this and enjoy it. If you’re thinking about it – may as well go out and do it. No time like the present.’
Should Fury return to boxing then his next fight could well be a record-breaking clash with long-time rival Joshua – a fight that has eluded fans for years and could now be worth close to £300million.

Despite announcing his retirement earlier this year, there is a feeling that Fury could yet return to the ring to take on fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua, pictured (right) in February
Fury had previously blamed Joshua’s shock KO loss to Daniel Dubois last year for derailing what would have been a mega-money bout, stating ringside: ‘That’s cost me £150million, the silly c***.’
With both men now out of the world title picture, but still two of the sport’s biggest names, promoters are reportedly circling once again.
Eddie Hearn – who continues to push for the fight – suggested recently that the ball may now be in Fury’s court.
Hearn said: ‘The way that fight gets made is probably Tyson reaches out to AJ and says, “Mate, do you fancy it?” And he’ll go, “100 per cent, let’s f***ing do it.”‘
