Two Argentinian YouTubers are facing felony charges in South Florida after allegedly sneaking past multiple layers of stadium security during a World Cup match.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly arrested 20-year-old Lautaro B. Marmol and 26-year-old Patricio Rafael Perrotta on Saturday night at Miami Stadium.

The popular content creators, who boast hundreds of thousands of followers online, were taken into custody during the Colombia vs Portugal game on Saturday.

According to arrest reports, the duo managed to successfully ‘bypass three layers of security’ to gain access to the main stadium grounds by using expired credentials from a previous tournament game.

When confronted by stadium authorities, Marmol admitted to responding deputies that he was an influencer trying to get inside to stream the match to his followers.

Meanwhile, Perrotta told law enforcement that he had been officially ‘hired by a media company to review the event’, claiming he believed his credentials were valid despite them being from a past date.

According to court records, a Miami-Dade judge quickly found probable cause for both internet personalities and ordered them held on a $2,500 bond each.

Both men were transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center following the incident, where they remain held behind as of Sunday afternoon.

The internet stars were just two of 16 total individuals arrested by law enforcement during a heavily policed night at the stadium, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Neither the tournament organizers nor representatives for the content creators have released an official statement regarding the security breach.
