A 19-year-old man and 26-year-old man were arrested in Watford Tuesday by police investigating an alleged conspiracy to commit arson at an unknown venue connected to the Jewish community, police said.

It takes the total of people arrested by Counter Terrorism Police in relation to the alleged conspiracy to nine.

The two men remain in custody, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Seven other people previously arrested for conspiracy to commit arson remain under investigation and have been released on bail.

Since late March, there have been arson attacks on Jewish community ambulances in Golders Green, two synagogues and a former Jewish charity, as well as an incident where a drone was flown near the Israeli embassy.
