England manager Thomas Tuchel has slammed referee Sven Jablonski following his side’s friendly against Uruguay at Wembley on Friday (27 March).
The Three Lions drew 1-1 with the South American side, who are managed by former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Manchester United and Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte received two yellow cards during the match, but no red. It was later clarified that his second yellow card had been “rescinded”, although it remains unclear why the card was withdrawn and whether this was communicated to the player.
Tuchel, who refused to shake the referee’s hand after the game, called it “a bad day at the office” for the match officials.
