Donald Trump has made his grand arrival at Hard Rock Stadium ahead of tonight’s college football championship final between Miami and Indiana.
Sport has played an integral role in Trump’s second term as president, with the Commander-in-Chief attending countless events since being re-elected in 2024.
And on Monday night he is showing his face at another after opting to attend the eagerly-awaited national championship game in Miami, where the Hurricanes have home advantage against the Hoosiers.
Trump is joined at the final by his daughter Ivanka, granddaughter Kai and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was spotted on the field shortly before kickoff.
After arriving at the stadium, the president could be seen waving to fans from behind bulletproof glass in a VIP suite as he prepared to watch the college football showpiece.
When he was shown on the big screen during the American national anthem, Trump appeared to receive a huge ovation from the crowd inside Hard Rock Stadium.

Indiana are strong favorites to win and have Heisman trophy winner Fernando Mendoza at quarterback, the man widely expected to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft at the end of April, which is held by the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, Trump might be supporting the Hurricanes given his teenage granddaughter, Kai, is on a golf scholarship in Miami.
The 79-year-old has attended college football’s showpiece game before. In 2018, he watched the first half between Alabama and Georgia at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Trump also became the first sitting president in history to attend a Super Bowl in 2025 when he headed to New Orleans to watch the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs, who were on the verge of a three-peat.
