Donald Trump says the King and Queen were left wowed by his newly remodelled Oval Office during their recent state visit to the US.
The president redesigned the space shortly after beginning his second term, raising eyebrows by dramatically increasing the number of gold accents – seemingly much to the satisfaction of Charles and Camilla.
“King Charles walked in last week with his great wife,” Trump told Fox News’ Lara Trump in an interview broadcast on Saturday (30 May).
“She looked and she said ‘Oh, this is the Oval Office’ – you know, they have Buckingham Palace and places – but the most powerful room in the world, right here.”
