Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has admitted he got ‘teary’ during Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s emotional wedding.
The former Dolphins, Jets and Bills star was among the star-studded guests who watched Kelce and Swift tie the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
The nation’s power couple invited around 1,000 guests to their wedding, however, they’ve remained tight-lipped and details surrounding the evening have been sparse.
But speaking at the ACC Golf Championship this week, Fitzpatrick opened up on the emotional side of the big day and how he couldn’t keep it together alongside wife Liza.
When asked to confirm whether ‘Love Story’ played as Swift walked down the aisle, he said: ‘Yes, and I may have cried. It was very emotional and also very fun and funny, too. It had all the feels.’
The ‘Thursday Night Football’ analyst was then asked to confirm or deny a few bizarre rumors and shut down false rumors that Swift’s cats were her ring bearers and Patrick Mahomes threw the ring to Kelce.

He was also quizzed on whether Kelce was more emotional than Swift and Fitzpatrick said: ‘That would be true.’
Fitzpatrick also hinted that Kelce cried by saying: ‘You know, it was kind of far away. It might have been sweat that got in his eyes. I’m not sure. It was kind of far away, so I can’t tell you 100 per cent.’
In a separate interview with People, Fitzpatrick admitted he got through ‘six-plus hours of dancing’ at the ‘unbelievable’ wedding.
He continued: ‘There was a LOT of dancing, hours and hours, we’re still kind of recovering from being out on that dance floor for six-plus hours. My favorite moment was just I got to spend the night with my wife just on the dance floor, being around and being in it, so that was pretty magical for us.’
Swift and Kelce married Friday night at Madison Square Garden, where actor Adam Sandler was the surprising officiant at a ceremony and Stevie Nicks performed among a crowd packed with stars of sports and entertainment.
The deep secrecy that surrounded the buildup to the nuptials lifted when a screen outside the Midtown Manhattan arena proclaimed ‘JUST&T MARRIED’ once the deed was done.
The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, instead having Swift´s younger brother Austin Swift serve as her man of honor with Kelce´s big brother and podcast co-host Jason Kelce his best man, Swift’s publicist Tree Paine said in an email.
The bride and groom´s outfits came from Christian Dior Haute Couture and its designer Jonathan Anderson with shoes custom-made by Christian Louboutin. She wore Cartier jewelry.

Actors Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, Hugh Grant and Ethan Hawke; models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss; comic Chris Rock; director Steven Spielberg; singer Camila Cabello and author Jenny Han were among the guests from the world of arts and entertainment.
Kelce’s coach Andy Reid and Chiefs teammates including Patrick Mahomes were among the sports figures in the arena, along with Tom Brady, Seattle Seahawks receiver and recent Super Bowl champ Cooper Kupp, New York Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Stephen A. Smith.
There was a seemingly total lack of social media posts from guests once they had entered the arena, with phones apparently banned.
However, on Saturday, hosts of Good Morning America who had been invited to the wedding, confirmed that Nicks performed and described the space as ‘intimate.’
‘As intimate as it could possibly be given it was Madison Square Garden. Really this garden inside the garden, just so beautiful,’ said George Stephanopoulos. ‘It’s hard to imagine a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.’
Robin Roberts added that both Swift and Kelce wrote their own vows.
Fans hoping to get some wedding insights from Kelce during the latest episode of his New Heights podcast were left disappointed on Wednesday morning.
Instead of wedding gossip, the Chiefs star and his brother, Jason Kelce, interviewed seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. In a double blow, the interview was also recorded before the wedding took place.
During the opening 10 minutes, Jason describes playing golf with Travis in Bel Air, the ritzy neighborhood in Los Angeles. The brothers spent time in California leading up to the wedding, most notably for Travis’ bachelor party.
There was a mention of Swift during the show, however. When describing his favorite moment of the season, Kelce pinpointed the episode featuring Swift after which he proposed to her in the garden of his Kansas City mansion.
He said: ‘Starting it (the season) with Taylor was epic. During that recording the entire time I’m planning like I’m gonna ask this woman to marry me after this. It’s something I’ll remember forever.
