Travis Kelce has been brutally trolled over his ‘fit’ at the Met Gala on Monday night – despite the NFL star and Taylor Swift snubbing this year’s fashion extravaganza.
A plethora of star names headed to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual gala, which involves celebrities and designers hitting the red carpet in flamboyant theme-inspired costumes.
Despite his fiancee owning an apartment in Manhattan, Kelce was not one of the A-list names in attendance after he and Swift opted to skip the event.
But that didn’t stop his good friend Taylor Lewan from mocking him in a savage Met Gala post on X.
Lewan, the former NFL tackle who co-hosts the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, shared a clip of British singer Sam Smith walking up the stairs at the Met in a dramatic black bejewelled opera coat and a feathered head piece.
Implying Smith is his doppelganger, Lewan tagged the Kansas City Chiefs legend and wrote alongside the video: ‘Hey @tkelce we gotta talk about this fit my guy’ along with a laughing emoji.

Fans were highly amused by the post, while some admitted they thought Smith was Kelce at first glance.
‘Man I had to do a double take,’ one user replied.
‘You almost got me,’ said another.
A third commented: ‘Never noticed the similarities lmao’.
While one joked: ‘I can’t believe Taylor makes him dress like this’.
Lewan enjoys a close relationship with Kelce, who has joined him and podcast co-host Will Compton on Bussin’ With The Boys on multiple occasions.
As a result, the ex-Tennessee Titans player said back in November that he expected an invite to his and Swift’s wedding this year.
‘I do not know when they’re getting married,’ Lewan told TMZ, before the wedding date was revealed as July 3.

‘I do know that I fully expect a wedding invitation from Travis. He’s been on the show multiple times.’
Lewan also added: ‘He’s been incredible, I’m super happy for the two of them.
‘I was able to be around both of them at the same time during the last Tight End University. You can’t see a couple that’s more in love than that — other than my wife and myself, but we’re not selling a lot of magazines with our names.’
After she and Kelce snubbed the fashion spectacle, Swift has now been absent from the Met Gala for a decade.
The pop megastar last attended as a co-chair for the ‘Manus et Machina’ event in 2016, but has not returned in the 10 years that have followed mainly due to her hectic schedule.
