Revenge is a dish best served cold, or in front of the international press, as Travis Kelce enacted his clapback on Kansas City Chiefs teammate and good friend Patrick Mahomes by impersonating him.
Kelce did his best impression of Mahomes on Thursday morning while the duo spoke to a jam-packed media contingent in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Mahomes started the practical jokes against Kelce when he told reporters over the weekend – ‘Some guys didn’t understand how far the travel was. Travis, even though he was just down there last year, I was explaining to him how the globe works.’
Kelce was methodical and waited until he was in front of plenty of cameras to enact his revenge. Mahomes started his first answer before Kelce added to his point sounding like his possible-future groomsman.
‘Oh man it was crazy, it was a lot of fun seeing all the fans there,’ Kelce said as Mahomes.
‘He had that one coming for telling everybody I didn’t know where Brazil was on a map,’ Kelce finished speaking as himself.

Kelce took the action after the quarterback said his teammate did not know where Brazil was
It was in November 2023, with Swift’s relationship fresh with Kelce when he flew during a down period of the NFL season to watch the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer dazzle a South American crowd.
One of the turning points in the Kelce-Swift romance took place on the trip, when Kelce was seen paling around with Scott Swift, Taylor’s dad, in front of plenty of onlookers.
Taylor also changed the lyrics to one of her most-famous songs, ‘Karma’, during that South American leg in Argentina, noting the ‘guy on the Chiefs’, instead of how she originally wrote the song.
The Chiefs will take part in the second venture for the NFL in Brazil, after last year’s Packers-Eagles game, with it being only a preview of an eventual playoff matchup.
Swift is not expected to make the trip to Brazil with Kelce, as every game last season she attended of his was either in Missouri, or the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs, with a focused Kelce and Mahomes, are expected to pick up right where they left off last season as one of the best teams in the NFL.
